Vicky Qiao had her summer all planned out, including the perfect internship. She had no idea COVID-19 would bring everything to a screeching halt—her travel, her classes, her job, her formal. Now, she’s trying to learn to be comfortable living in uncertainty:
“I almost feel angry, but who am I angry at? We are so used to having someone to blame when something goes wrong. We are so used to figuring out the problem and finding a way to fix it. But right now, that simply doesn’t work. And I’m still getting used to it.”
